Description
I'm selling my audio gear and retiring. These are photos of the actual items you will receive. We do not copy an image from the manufacturer's website and then send you a "looks-like." This Shure Multiplex lavalier mic is the precussor to the UniPlex line now in vogue. With the In-Line Preamplifier module (included), the resistance is boosted to 150 ohms, making this microphone less suseptable to RF interference. This module has the words "Condenser" inprinted on the side, which means the microphone should be operated with a phantom power supply in order to obtain superior performance over long cable runs. Although this microphone can be used in a wireless system, a RF transmitter is not included in this package. As presented, this microphone with an XLR connector is designed to be used as a standard microphone with XLR connectors and an extension cord inserted into a mixer. With the In-Line Preamplifer detached, the TA4F connector is exposed for use with a transmitter as part of a wireless system. This microphone has a short somewhere that causes it to pop on and off. I have not tested the wiring or any of the connectors. A fix will likely require familiarity with solderling techniques and the use of an ohmeter. The package includes the Multiflex 184 microphone, the In-Line Preamplifier, the tie-clip attachment, the belt attachment that fits around the In-Line Preamplifier and supports the weight of that attachment, and a Shure equipment bag for keeping all the pieces together. There is no windscreen included with this item, although they are readily available from the manufacturer. Obviously, there are no returns on this item.
